What’s new in firmware 4.2

Recovery after an external power failure

After turning on the output power with the “ON / OFF” button and then blocking the buttons by pressing the encoder, the state is stored in the non-volatile memory. Thus, after an external power failure, the unit will completely restore its state.

Battery charge

  • Possibility to change all values and save profiles C0…C9 in non-volatile memory in the “Settings” menu
  • For charging profiles C0…C9. Automatic output shutdown if the output current is less than 50mA for 30 seconds and raise “END” error

Powered by an external battery

In Battery source = Yes mode, if the external battery voltage drops 10% below the minimum voltage, the output power will be cut off and a “BAT” error will raise.

24/7 usage

  • To disable the timer, set the Overtime = 0 item in the Settings menu.
  • To avoid counter overflow, conversion to kiloampere-hours and kilowatt-hours has been added.

Indication of CV and CC modes

Improved mode calculation and added delay. Keep in mind that the CV and CC modes are only an indication of the current state, and the regulation of the output current and voltage occurs in hardware.

Screensaver

If you set the item Backlight = 6 in the Parameters menu, then five minutes after pressing the buttons, the screen brightness will decrease from maximum to minimum. The maximum brightness is restored again after any button is pressed or an error occurs.
